Guardians of the Galaxy ist ein amerikanischer Science-Fiction-film. Der Film basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Marvel-Comic. Regisseur ist James Gunn, der auch am Drehbuch mitgearbeitet hat. Bereits an dem ersten Wochenende spielte der Film über 94 Millionen Dollar ein und ist somit der bester Filmstart in einem August aller Zeiten. Bereits am Ende des Film wurde eine Fortsetzung angekündigt. Der Start wird wahrscheinlich Juli 2017 sein.
